LAST UPDATED ON MARCH 23rd at 4:55 PM

Dear Students,

I hope all of you are safe and healthy.

Please tell the other students to come to this location for the latest updates. Please make note that the link to this page is http://boilingice.com/startup/edhec2020/  Come back to it regularly to see updates. Please do not email me. I will communicate all updates here and on the school system, but you should check here first.

This page is organized into 4 sections:

Part 1 – everything you need to prepare yourself to go online

Part 2 – how to login to your class

Part 3 – homework and assignments to do before the next class

Part 4 – suggested readings, viewings, and resources

Part 1 – everything you need to prepare yourself to go online.

ONLINE PLATFORM WE WILL USE

I will be using a platform called www.Zoom.us to deliver the classes. It is similar to Skype but much better and stable.

1. Go to Zoom.us to see what it’s all about
2. Click on Sign up or click here https://zoom.us/signup and create an account.
+ When you register please use your SKEMA email address and enter your First Name and Last Name so I can easily communicate with all of you during class. Your last name should be in ALL CAPS.
3. Upload a picture of yourself to your Zoom profile so I can tell who you are.
4. Download the desktop app for your laptop.
5. Go to the Apple Store or Google Store and download the phone app.
6. Make sure your microphone and video cameras are working. Please do NOT tell me at the beginning of the class that your video and microphone are not working. This is unacceptable! Please test it before and fix the issue.
7. Do a conference test with a friend to get used to the platform.
8. Make sure you have a comfortable chair (and pillow to sit on). Make sure light is coming from in front of you (light coming from behind will make it difficult to actually see you).
9. If you are joining the class from your mobile please be sure to be using the Zoom mobile app for the best experience.
10. See you online!

Part 2 – how to login to your class

Be sure to join the online class that is at the same time as your original schedule. I want to make sure that everyone is in the correct class so that when we break into groups you have all your group members in the same online class.
